Moroccan Agricultural Seasonal Worker Dies in Bus Accident in Spain

According to the General Consulate of Morocco in Seville, a bus accident in Huelva on Monday resulted in the death of a 40-year-old Moroccan agricultural worker and 24 others injured, including seven in critical condition.

The accident occurred at kilometer 16 of the A-484 road at 6:25 am local time when a bus carrying Moroccan seasonal workers overturned in the municipality of Almonte. Medical personnel took all affected persons to hospitals in Huelva and Seville.

Immediately after learning of the accident, the Consul General of Morocco in Seville, Abbah Sidi Sidi, went to the hospital in Huelva where he inquired about the health of some of the severely injured seasonal workers.

The services of the General Consulate of Morocco in Seville, who visited the injured admitted to the hospital, took all necessary measures to repatriate the body of the Moroccan who died in the accident.

The Moroccan consular representation in Seville, in coordination with the Moroccan embassy in Spain, has set up a crisis cell to closely monitor the situation of the injured and provide them with necessary assistance.
