President Cyril Ramaphosa has dismissed media claims of a dispute between three of his Cabinet ministers.
The reports suggested that Pravin Gordhan and Gwede Mantashe had refused to relinquish responsibilities to Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa. However, Ramaphosa stated that Ramokgopa’s mandate to address load shedding did not interfere with Gordhan’s or Mantashe’s roles.
Ramaphosa added that the three ministers worked well together and their cooperation enhanced good governance and efforts to solve the energy crisis, he said that the reports of a rift between them were baseless.
