A symposium under the theme “The Commandery of believers, a fundamental pillar of peace and stability in Africa” was organised on Saturday in Casablanca by the North-South Association for Information and Development, in partnership with the International Organisation for Parallel Diplomacy, Media and Tolerance.

Providing immunity against all forms of extremism and intolerance, the Commandery of believers is a major pillar of security and peace in Morocco and Africa, said participants in this symposium.

The Commandery of the Faithful provides a tolerant, moderate and just Islamic religion.

The speakers also highlighted the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulemas, which HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine created and which he chairs.

This Foundation contributes to the spreading of the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence as well as to the consolidation of the historical relations that link Morocco to other African countries.

While promoting inter-religious dialogue, the Commandery of believers plays an important role in protecting the followers of different religions in the Kingdom.
