CEUTA MIGRANTS

The Royal Moroccan Gendarmerie forces thwarted earlier today, an attempt to penetrate more than 200 migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, the separating fence of occupied Ceuta, and managed to control the group before they tried to reach the border area.

According to the Spanish news agency, the attempt to reach the region forced the Spanish police to temporarily close the “Tarajal” border customs, in addition to that, the naval and land forces of the Civil Guard were deployed throughout the place.

The source also reported that none of the more than 200 migrants were able to approach the fence after trying to reach through an intermediate area of the border perimeter separating the occupied city from the other side of the border. The Spanish Civil Guard and its units are on the Spanish side of the fence, in preparation for any development if they manage to reach the fence.

On the other hand, the “Tarajal” border customs, which were closed by the Spanish police preventively, reopened after two hours, and people and vehicles are now allowed to pass normally.
