Morocco is Praised by Blinken as “A Significant Force for Stability, Peace, Prosperity, and Moderation”

The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, congratulated Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of African and Moroccan Diaspora Cooperation, on the “long-standing, historic, and solid partnership” between the United States and the Kingdom, stating that the latter “is an important force for stability, peace, progress, and moderation.”

Blinken also complimented Morocco’s “leadership” for peace and regional stability with the restoration of relations with Israel, as well as on issues of climate change and renewable energy, emphasizing the tight bilateral cooperation between Washington and Rabat in a number of areas of shared interest.

Referring to military cooperation, the head of the American diplomacy underlined the forthcoming organization by Morocco of the annual joint military exercise African Lion.

In this interview, Bourita emphasized “the solid and historic friendship” between the two nations, remarking that this partnership “does not have never been as strong as it is today.” This interview was conducted as part of the ongoing political consultations on the various aspects of the strategic partnership.
