Wydad Sports Club Football Team’s Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Gabon

On its way back from the Congo to Morocco after a match against Vita Club, the Wydad Sports Club football team’s plane was forced to land at the airport in the Gabonese capital, Libreville.

The reason for the emergency landing was a technical malfunction, According to sources from Hesport, the team had to join a hotel in the city before they could return to Morocco.

The sources also stated that the team will travel from Libreville to Casablanca Airport tonight, Sunday, after a replacement plane was arranged for them.

In their match against Vita Club, the “Red Team” had a goalless draw, securing their spot in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League for the eighth time. They are only one match away from completing the group stage.

The incident with the plane was unexpected, but the team can now breathe a sigh of relief as they travel back to Morocco. The upcoming quarter-finals will be a challenging match, and the Wydad Sports Club will need to be at their best to compete at their highest level.
