The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, and the vice-president and head of international cooperation relations at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Alice Usanase, signed on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating and promoting cooperation between Morocco and AFC.

On this occasion, Mrs. Fettah said that this financial institution supports the public and private sectors at the level of the continent and includes 40 African countries.

The cooperation between Morocco and this institution is part of the South-South cooperation favored by the Kingdom, under the impetus of HM King Mohammed VI.

She added that this type of agreement with African financial institutions offers new investment opportunities in Morocco and encourages Moroccan exports to Africa.

For her part, Mrs. Usanase noted that the institution is determined to collaborate with various economic actors, especially in the sectors of logistics, transport, and renewable energy.

Thus, she stressed that the AFC considers Morocco as a real model to follow in terms of African cooperation.
