Bongani Baloyi, the current Gauteng leader of ActionSA, may face an uncertain future as reports emerge that the party is mulling over a possible change in his role.

The disagreement between Baloyi and party leader Herman Mashaba regarding the management of provincial structures and policy issues has caused tension between the two.

Recently, Baloyi met with the party’s top leadership structure to discuss the matter, but details of the conversation remain unknown.

However, insiders suggest that this meeting was only the first of a series of discussions to come. Despite the rumors, Mashaba has declined to comment on the situation, while the party’s national chairperson, Michael Beaumont, has requested privacy and time to address the matter internally.

Baloyi, who left the Democratic Alliance to join ActionSA more than a year ago, is expected to make an announcement on Monday about his future plans.
