The First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, visited the Hope Initiative Southern Africa in Nambia. She was accompanied by her granddaughter Naomi Biden.

The NGO works in the field of poverty eradication and hunger alleviation in poor communities.

The NGO also offers initiatives to prevent HIV infection, gender-based violence, and the fight against AIDS.

On this occasion, Jill Biden announced that it is time to have a woman president in any country in the world, adding that her meeting with the Namibian president and his wife last year motivated her to visit Namibia.

After this visit to Namibia, the next destination planned by Dr. Jill Biden and her granddaughter is Kenya.
