The statement of the US Africa Command revealed that five Al-Shabaab fighters were killed in US raid in Somalia.

The attack, which took place around the city of Mogadishu, 300 kilometers away, was carried out at the request of the Somali government, and it is a collective act of self-defense, according to AFRICOM.

AFRICOM confirmed that the incident did not leave any casualties or deaths among civilians and military personnel.

This is the second time that the United States has struck al-Shabaab militants in Somalia, in the past week.
