The Ivorian Minister of Trade, Industry, and SME Promotion, Souleymane Diarrassouba, spoke at the first edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues Conference, held from 26 to 28 January in Kwahu, Ghana.

During his presentation on the theme “Infrastructure-Power-Energy”, he called on African states to invest in industrial infrastructure in order to create jobs for young people and eliminate poverty.

The Ivorian minister added that infrastructure is a crucial element that attracts foreign investment and improves the competitiveness of countries.

He stressed the importance for African countries to catch up in terms of industrialization and productive infrastructure, especially in the areas of electricity, water, and transport.

According to the minister, the African market is an opportunity for African economies. “This market is a springboard to ensure healthy competition between African companies,” he continued.
