Ghanaian President Calls for Action to Reap the Benefits of FTAA

Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has taken part in the closing ceremony of the first Africa Prosperity Dialogue held in Ghana, as it happens every year.

He called for urgent action to achieve the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA) initiative.

Mr. Akufo-Addo stressed the importance of the initiative in transforming the continent and ensuring economic security and prosperity for all Africans.

In this regard, Mr. Akufo-Addo called for bold measures to boost intra-African trade and for more efforts to reap the benefits of the FTAA. To achieve this goal, Mr. Akufo-Addo proposed that political leaders, business leaders, and African stakeholders take advantage of the opportunities offered by the FTAA.

Similarly, Mr. Akufo-Addo called on Africans to invest while reaping the benefits of new technologies and innovation.
