Morocco to participate in the 12th edition of the Luxor African Film Festival

Morocco will take part in the 12th edition of the Luxor African Film Festival, to be held from 4 to 10 February in Egypt, with the participation of 55 films from 30 countries.

The two Moroccan films “Bayt Achiir” and “Najma Mars 2020” are competing in the categories “Feature Films” and “Short Films”.

Moroccan actress Amal Ayouch will be among the members of the jury of the “Feature Films” competition, alongside other names such as scriptwriter and producer Mohamed Hefzy, Egyptian scriptwriter and novelist Abdelrahim Kamal, Senegalese director Mansour Wade, and Tunisian director Dina Shamha.

Senegal is the guest of honor of this edition, which will mark the launch of the Luxor Producers’ Platform, which aims to connect film production companies, independent producers, and project developers.
