During a working session with the Minister of Health in Côte d’Ivoire, the CEO of the Czech company ROYAX medical solution, Rambod Afrashteh announced yesterday that the company will set up a new pharmaceutical production plant in Côte d’Ivoire in 4 months. The meeting took place in the presence of the Consul of the Czech Republic and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry between Côte d’Ivoire and the Czech Republic.

This factory dedicated to the manufacture of vaccines is the result of a partnership between the Czech Republic and the Ivory Coast. Through this factory, medicines will also be distributed in West Africa.

These medicines include antibiotics, anti-cancer, and anti-malaria drugs, specific vaccines against Covid-19, tropical diseases, and HIV/AIDS,” said Rambod Afrashteh, while requesting that the government provide health specialists with the necessary resources.

For his part, the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre Dimba, said that the pharmaceutical industry is of great importance to the government, given that only 6% of medicines are manufactured locally.
