During a meeting held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, the Youth Committee of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports approved three initiatives presented by Morocco as part of the celebration of the year of Arab youth 2023.
The Moroccan delegation was led by the head of the Youth Department in the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Abdelmajid Sanih, and the Deputy Permanent Representative of Morocco to the Arab League, Hicham Ould Sallay.
The first initiative concerns the holding, next March in Marrakech, of a training session for Arab youth in the field of democracy and human rights, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of young people in the field of children’s, youth and women’s rights.
The second initiative is to hold study days on the digital platform of Arab youth in Rabat in June, with the aim of exchanging views on the prospects for young people and the opportunities for innovation, as well as the possibility of creating a platform containing studies and reports from Arab youth.
The third initiative is the organization of a training course on volunteering and civic participation to be held in December in Tetouan.
