Brazil: Mr Akhannouch represents HM the King at the inauguration ceremony of the new President

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of the Brazilian President, Mr Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who won the presidential election on 30 October, given that he had already been President of the Republic of Brazil between 2003 and 2010.

After attending the inauguration ceremony organised at the Congress headquarters, Mr Akhannouch was received at the Palacio Planalto by Mr Lula da Silva and his vice-president, Geraldo José Rodrigues de Alckmin Filho.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Mr Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, on the occasion of his election, expressing “His consideration for the relations of solid friendship and fruitful cooperation in all fields uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Brazil”.
