At least nine persons were killed in Uganda today, Sunday, due to a stampede in a shopping mall.
According to the Ugandan police, the ages of the victims ranged between 10 and 20 years.
The stampede began after the fireworks were set off outside the Freedom City mall in Kampala, where five people were killed instantly, and four others died on their way to hospital.
Moreover, several injuries were recorded, due to suffocation, according to the National Police spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire.
