In South Africa, three white men have been arrested with crimes, including tried killing, after alleged racist aggression against two black men flashed general outrage.
The men were filmed assaulting black teenagers in a swimming pool in the seaside resort of Maselspoort, Free State province. The men tried to prevent the teenagers from swimming, claiming that the pool was reserved for whites.
Other videos show the man trying to stop teenagers from entering the pool and a group of whites swimming out of the pool as soon as the black teenagers enter.
These sadly apartheid-eques violent images were preceded by a reportedly violent exchange that banned men from using the pool, claiming it was reserved for resort guests.
The teenager’s father and uncle, Brian Naked, told reporters to come at the request of two teenagers. He explained that he had the right to access but They said it was a misunderstanding, and as soon as he left, a fight broke out.
A third suspect was due to appear in court on Thursday when various political parties and activists demonstrated outside the courthouse.
