The President of the Republic of Benin, Patrice Talon, expressed his admiration for the national team’s achievement during the recent World Cup competitions in Qatar after the “Black” managed to achieve an unprecedented achievement, which is fourth place.

“We all watched the World Cup matches with great interest and a lot of enthusiasm, and with great pride in some interviews,” Tallon said in a speech to the country’s football officials.

He continued, “The semi-finals of the World Cup brought together France and Morocco. This confrontation prompted great pride in the African continent, due to the presence of an African team in the golden square.”

Furthermore, he added, “They did not have super talents, but they had passion and love to win. We can see many people were unhappy after Morocco was eliminated. We were very close to the goal.”

On the other hand, the Beninese president promised an increase in sports facilities, in order to benefit more from talents and develop them in order to achieve results similar to what they achieved for Moroccan teams and teams.
