The charity “Un Nouveau Jour” has brought smiles to the faces of displaced children in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo in a camp located 8 km from Goma, by providing them with meals, gifts and music to celebrate Christmas.

The children and their families have fled their villages because of the war between government military forces and the M23 rebels, who have seized large areas of eastern DRC recently.

Some displaced people have told the media that they want “the enemies to leave their villages so that they can return”. They also welcomed this solidarity through the association mentioned above, which shared beautiful moments with them.
