African Global Health (AGH), which aims to promote health in Africa, launched today the African Charter for Health Risk Reduction in Casablanca, following the success of the First African Conference on Health Risk Reduction held last month in Marrakech.

This large-scale international initiative, the first of its kind in Africa, aims to establish a common African charter and policy on public health and social protection through the organisation of a conference.

Bringing together leading African researchers, scientists and specialists, this conference is an important step to support the pillars of African cooperation in public health, through public-private partnership and cooperation between African ministries of health, while involving ministries of foreign affairs to unify the different actors.
