Cryptocurrency in Morocco.. A New Law Draft is ready

The governor of Bank Al-Maghrib ‘’BMA’’, Abdellatif Jouahri, revealed that the full draft for to use of cryptocurrency in Morocco is ready.

The Work has been done IMF on the use of cryptocurrencies, and it is expected that consultations will be initiated with a number of concerned government sectors and regulatory institutions, according to Jouahri.

The consultations will mainly include the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, and the Insurance and Social Precaution Supervisory Authority.

The law draft will provide a Moroccan definition of cryptocurrency, taking into account what has been done by the US Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
