Niamey: Inauguration of the Regional Air Navigation Centre of Niamey

The President of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum inaugurated, on Sunday in Niamey, the Regional Air Navigation Centre of Niamey (CRNA), which is in charge of air traffic management in the flight information management entrusted by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to the State of Niger, with the aim of modernising the air transport infrastructure.

The inauguration took place in the presence of the Guinea-Bissau President, Umaro Sissoco Embalo and the current President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

On this occasion, the Nigerian Minister of Transport, Alma Oumarou, said that the centre will contribute to considerably improving the safety of air navigation and strengthen cooperation in terms of airspace management.
