The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, presented, on Tuesday in Kigali, the distinguished Moroccan experience in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, during a high-level ministerial session organised on the sidelines of the 2nd International Conference on Public Health in Africa, by the African Union (AU) and the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, in cooperation with the Rwandan Ministry of Health and the Biomedical Centre of Rwanda.

Mr Ait Taleb noted that thanks to the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has taken the right decisions to curb and manage cases of Covid-19 infection as soon as the first case appears.

In this sense, Mr Ait Taleb reviewed the anticipatory health and socio-economic measures launched by Morocco, including support for the national health system and care capacity, the transformation of local industries towards the production of medical equipment and masks, and the formation of a joint committee responsible for monitoring the epidemiological situation and taking the necessary measures and preventive measures.
