The 14th African Infrastructure Forum opened today in Rabat under the theme “Transport infrastructure: an imperative for an integrated Africa”.

Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the guest of honour of this edition and will be the host country of the next edition of the African Infrastructure Forum.

This conclave will deal with subjects related to transport infrastructures, the stakes of road connectivity, and the challenges in relation to port, rail and airport infrastructures.

The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, affirmed on this occasion that transport infrastructures are essential for economic integration in Africa and that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, is working for the repositioning of Africa at the international level, through its South-South cooperation policy.
