The Kingdom of Morocco, represented by the Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Abdelhamid Addou, took part today in Senegal, in the opening of the 54th General Assembly of the Association of African Airlines (AFRAA), which is held at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre of Diamniadio (CICAD).

The meeting, which runs until 13 December, is attended by 500 delegates and a hundred aviation experts from various backgrounds.

The AFRAA General Assembly aims to “better prepare stakeholders to continue rebuilding African civil aviation to make the travel ecosystem more resilient and sustainable,” according to the organisers.

According to AFRAA’s secretary general, Abderakhmane Berthé, the organisation’s mission is to promote companies, set up joint projects and promote cooperation between airlines and set up data and studies on air transport in Africa.
