The “Jeune Afrique” media revealed that the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Kyélem de Tambela flew to Russia on December 7. A move out of sight, a source of questions.

It was a flight from the Malian air force that came to pick up Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyélem from Tambela in Ouagadougou. The eleven-strong Burkinabe delegation headed for Bamako before heading to Russia.

Very little information has leaked out about Appolinaire Kyélem’s trip to Tambela. For its part, “Jeune Afrique” affirms that the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso should begin negotiations with a view to acquiring military equipment.

Other sources state that it is very likely that the head of government will meet with officials of the paramilitary company Wagner.

Burkina, which has been beset by armed terrorist groups for several years, wants to diversify its partners to obtain resources that will enable the country to face the jihadist threat.

This move comes at a time when part of the population is insistently demanding greater collaboration with Russia.
