The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, posted a tweet on his personal account, in which he congratulated Morocco for the qualification of the national football team on Saturday for the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, being the first African and Arab team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, which is a historic victory.
Accompanying his post with the Moroccan flag, Blinken wrote: “Africa making history and leading on and off the field. On the eve of the US-Africa 2022 Leaders Summit in Washington next week, I congratulate the Atlas Lions on their victory today,” while adding the hashtag #DimaMaghreb.
