Riyadh: Mehdi Bensaid holds bilateral meetings with many of his Arab counterparts

On the sidelines of the Conference of Ministers in charge of Cultural Affairs in the Arab World, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, held on Wednesday in Riyadh a series of bilateral meetings with his Arab counterparts.

Mr Bensaid discussed with his Mauritanian counterpart, Mr Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and the promotion of cooperation in the cultural field and the protection of heritage. At the end of their talks, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two countries concerning the framework of cooperation in several cultural fields.

Mr Bensaid also held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Haifa Najjar, agreeing to raise the level of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and to strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries and cooperation in the field of protection of heritage facilities.

Mehdi Bensaid also held a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Nevin Youssef Al-Kilany, during which it was agreed to update the legal framework in the field of cultural cooperation and to strengthen cooperation between the cultural institutions of the two countries.

Furthermore, Bensaid held talks with the Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), during which the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco to accompany and support the cultural services provided by the organisation was renewed.
