Morocco participates in 9th High-Level Seminar on “Peace and Security in Africa”

The opening of the 9th High-Level Seminar on “Peace and Security in Africa”, held from 7 to 9 December in Oran, is marked by the participation of Morocco.

This seminar will focus on several themes such as “disarmament and control of illicit small arms and light weapons: Silencing Arms in Africa’, ‘African Responses to Emerging Threats to Peace and Security on the Continent – Tackling the Scourge of Terrorism and Violent Extremism in Africa’, ‘Imposition and Enforcement of Sanctions by International Organisations and Partners on AU Member States and ‘AU PSC and A3: Better Coordination to Strengthen Africa’s Voice in the UN Security Council.

The participation of the Moroccan delegation, led by Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union (AU) and the UNECA, is part of Morocco’s commitment to a peaceful, prosperous and developed Africa and constitutes a consecration of Morocco’s efforts to promote peace, security and sustainable development in the African continent.
