Agadir: Opening of the 8th edition of the Africa Agri Forum

The 8th edition of the Africa Agri Forum (AAF) opened on Tuesday in Agadir, under the theme “Food Sovereignty: time to act”.
This regional event, organized under the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fishing, Rural Development and Water and Forests, in partnership with OCP Africa and with the support of the African Union, is being held for the first time in Morocco, with the participation of more than 400 experts who will exchange on strategic themes related to food sovereignty and agricultural cooperation.

In an address via video conference, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, said that the development of agriculture, food security, and sustainable growth of rural territories are common challenges for African countries.
This conclave constitutes a space for dynamic and innovative dialogue in the way of approaching and deepening the priority axes for the development of the African agricultural sector, privileging South-South cooperation, in an exclusive and convivial atmosphere inspiring the great African decision-makers of the governmental and private sectors.
