In Bamako, Moroccan fans gathered at their favourite hangout to watch the national team’s final match against Canada on Thursday 1 December, and they did not disappoint and rejoiced in the Atlas Lions’ glorious victory.
They watched a game between the Atlas Lions and the Canucks in the colours of the kingdom. Three times he’s in the zone, and even though he’s more than 6,300 km from Doha, Bamako has been raising his voice to encourage Walid Regragui. And at least we can say they weren’t disappointed.
Atlas Lions had a great first period with two goals from Hakim Ziyech and En-Nesyri, and Canada set the pace in the second period but could not catch up, but a goal against Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd gave them hope.
