Mbasogo Guinea’s President with nearly 95 percent of the vote

Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo won a new term in office with 94.9 percent of the vote. 

The National Electoral Commission declared candidate Obiang Nguema Mbasogo as President of Equatorial Guinea for the next seven years.

Mbasogo has ruled the country since 1979, and he’s winning in all the previous elections with more than 93 percent of votes.

Obiang, holds the world record as the longest-serving head of state, with the exception of monarchies.
