Nigerian gunmen kidnapped at least 60 people, most of them women, during a religious ceremony, in Zamfara state, northwest of the country, according to local residents.
According to media sources, the gunmen on motorbikes came to the village of Magami Tando in Kaura Namuda local district on Wednesday evening and fired intermittently.
Those sources reveal that 19 people were killed on Tuesday when gunmen attacked the town of Ryuji, Zormi Local Government Area in Zamfara, which borders Kaura Namuda.
