The specialized magazine in defence and international security affairs affirmed that Morocco has obtained an unknown number of Chinese-made combat drones from the supplier company “Chengdu”, which have modern capabilities, especially in terms of manoeuvring and offensive combat at low altitudes.

According to the same magazine, drones have technical characteristics such as a distinct attack technique, and the ability to carry up to 12 missiles, while they can reach a maximum speed of 370 kilometres per hour.

Morocco acquired the Chinese “Wing Long 2” drones, which are medium-altitude and long-range, and unmanned aerial vehicles that have a turbine engine and can fly for 20 hours, at the maximum speed.

The same magazine revealed that the Moroccan Air Force had actually acquired Israeli-made intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft, which supplied the kingdom with at least 150 WanderB and ThunderB drones.
