On Saturday morning, the work of the International Police Cooperation Center in the Qatari city of Lekhwiya was inaugurated, as part of the World Cup activities.
The inauguration was marked by the presence of the Moroccan security mission, along with representatives of other security missions of the countries participating in the work of the centre, in addition to the participation of a security team from “Interpol” and “Europol”.
This is what defines the security command centre for managing the World Cup as a Moroccan security presence, with security frameworks specialized in sports security, international security cooperation, collecting and analyzing operational data and exploiting them in securing major sporting events.
It is expected that this centre will play a pivotal role in keeping up with football fans in general and providing support and security advice to their Qatari counterparts.
