King Mohammed VI receives an official invitation to attend the World Cup

The Prince of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, sent an official invitation to King Mohammed VI to attend the opening ceremony of this historic event, whose phases will take place over Qatar territory from next Sunday to the 18th. From next December, according to media reports.

The same sources indicated that the Emirate of Qatar has made all necessary arrangements to receive the king during the opening ceremony, and they are currently awaiting the final decision by the Kingdom of Morocco.

In the same matter, the Kingdom and the Emirate of Qatar had, earlier, signed a joint declaration regarding the exchange of information related to the Qatar World Cup 2022, which was signed on the Moroccan side by Mohamed Sitri, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the country, while the declaration was signed on the Qatari side by Brigadier General Ibrahim. Khalil Al-Mohannadi, Head of the Legal Affairs and Communications Unit of the Safety and Security Operations Committee of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The signed agreement aims to strengthen bilateral security cooperation between Morocco and Qatar, to enforce all plans aimed at ensuring security during the 28-day World Cup period, in addition, to raise the levels of security agencies concerned with securing this major event and ensuring the safety of fans.
