FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended Qatar’s organization of the World Cup, saying it would be “the best edition ever”.

During a press conference held today, Saturday, Infantino said that “Europe is hypocritical in assessing the conditions of workers in the world, and it must apologize before giving lessons.”

The FIFA president added that “Qatar opened its doors to workers at a time when Europe closed its doors to them.”

He also stated that “Europeans should apologize to the people before giving lessons. Many European institutions operate in Qatar and reap financial profits.”

Furthermore, Infantino stated that “many matters in Western countries are not complete and reforms require a long time,” adding that “the Qatar World Cup 2022 will leave a great legacy, and the greatest legacy will be the West’s understanding with the Arab and Islamic world.”
