The newspaper “Le disk” reported that Belkheir Al-Farouq, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Region, is currently visiting the headquarters of the US Department of Defense “Pentagon” in Virginia.

The Moroccan general met, on Monday, the 12th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Admiral in the US Navy, Christopher W. Grady during his visit.

On this occasion, the two military leaders discussed several points related to cooperation in the security field, as well as enhancing military readiness, and other points of common interest.

The Pentagon stated that the United States and Morocco “have a strong bilateral military relationship, which contributes to peace and security in North Africa.”

Furthermore, Belkheir Al-Farouq had received, on October 17, last in Rabat, the commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), General Michael Langley.

It should keep in mind that the two officials also discussed the joint organization in Morocco of operational exercises such as “African Lion,” and welcomed the success of previous courses and the knowledge gained by the Royal Armed Forces.
