The National Women’s Football Selection will face its counterpart from the Republic of Ireland in a friendly match in Spain in the coming days.

As part of their preparations for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, the Moroccan and Irish national teams will play a friendly match at the Marbella Football Center in Spain on 14 November.

The announcement was made this Thursday, November 3, 2022, by Ireland’s coach, Vera Pauw, at the Irish Independent journalistic support.

It was a challenge to find an opponent in such a short time, but we are really excited to be able to confirm this training camp in Marbella followed by a match against Morocco which will be an ideal test as we begin our preparations for the World Cup,’ she explained.

As a reminder, the Atlas Lioness, vice-champions of Africa, qualified for the first time in their world championship history and were placed in group 8, alongside Germany, South Korea and Colombia.
