UN chief calls for arab unity

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called on Arab countries to unite in order to face the political challenges and crises they are experiencing and achieve stability in the region.

Guterres assured that The unity of the Arab world is more important than ever, especially in this time of increasing geopolitical divisions.

The UN chief warned that the division opens the door to non-Arab foreign interference, terrorism, manipulation, and sectarian strife.

He added that the Arab leaders are able to form a region that will make the most of its enormous potential with their union.

He also stressed that Arab leaders can count on him and the United Nations to continue “our deep partnership to improve the lives of the peoples of the Arab region and the world.”
Additionally, he confirmed that Arab leaders can count on him and on the United Nations to continue the deep partnership for the purpose of improving the lives of the people in the Arab region and the world.
