On the High Instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, chairs the Moroccan representatives to the 31st session of the Arab Summit, the work of which began on Tuesday in Algeria.

The Moroccan delegation also includes Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States, Mr Ahmed Tazi, the Director of Mashreq, the Gulf and Arab and Islamic Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and MREs, Mr Fouad Akhrif and the head of the Arab and Islamic Organizations Division at the ministry, Mr Abdelali Al-Jahed.

On the agenda of this Summit are several points and draft solutions adopted by the initial meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers relating in particular to the developments of the Palestinian question and the Arab-Israeli conflict, solidarity and support for Lebanon. , developments in the Syrian crisis and the situation in Libya and Yemen.

It is also about aid for peace and development in Sudan, support for the Republics of Somalia and the Union of Comoros, the issue of Iran’s occupation of three Emirati islands, Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, the maintenance of national security in the Arab world, as well as the fight against terrorism and the development of the Arab counter-terrorism system.

The Arab Summit should also consider other issues relating to joint Arab action and energy and food security in the Arab region.
