The Office of the High Commissioner for Planning (HCP) reported that the “Manufacturing Industries Excluding Petroleum Refining” Producer Price Index rose 0.1% in September 2022 compared to the previous month.

In its recent note on the Industrial, Energy and Mining Producer Price Index (IPPIEM), the HCP explains that this increase is the result of a 0.2% increase in the prices of the «Food industry» and 0.1% of the “Manufacture of rubber and plastic products”.

It is also explained by the 0.3% fall in the prices of “Metallurgy”, 0.5% of “Wood and Cork Products” and 0.1% of “Chemical Industry” and “Clothing Industries”.

Furthermore, the “Extractive Industries” producer price index increased by 0.2% in September 2022.
