Algeria responded to the UN Security Council’s authentication about the Sahara Resolution 2654 and the recommendations issued in it during last Thursday’s session.

The Algerian News Agency published a statement of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which included many inaccuracies and a direct rejection of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres’s report.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry expressed its rejection in a statement about the UN Security Council resolution, by describing it like its predecessors.

In addition, the Algerian Foreign Ministry accused the Council of not seeking to resolve the conflict, and considered it “It not intending to make efforts to resolve this conflict”.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry called for praising the position of Russia and Kenya.

Algeria blamed the United Nations for the conflict and concluded the statement by renewing its support for the Polisario, and expressing its regret over the current situation, saying “This is a serious danger that distorts the path to regional peace, stability and security”.
