The vice president of Netflix’s game studios Amir Rahimi announced, that Netflix will set up a game studio in Helsinki, Finland and that Marko Lastikka would be the studio director.

He explained that they are planning to bring games to its millions of members all over the world, and create it without purchases in-app and advertisements.

Amir Rahimi added that the studio will be Netflix’s second studio in Helsinki with “Next Games” which became a part of Netflix in 2022.

The studio will build from scratch and it could take years for Netflix to create a game so they can deliver an excellent gaming experience, according to the Netflix vice president.

He added that he’s proud of how the team built the foundation in only its first year, and how they had a lot of work to do even if it is still early to deliver the first game.
