68% of Moroccan are not able to save money

A study entitled “Moroccans and Savings: Obstacles and Motives” showed that 51 per cent of Moroccans save money for emergencies.

The study conducted by SINERGIA Group affirmed that 3 per cent of people, who save a small share of money on a regular basis, are saving for investment or for projects.

The same study added that 9 per cent of Moroccans save to buy a house, and 4 per cent save to buy a car, while 11 per cent save for pleasure and just because they like to save.

The study concluded that 32 per cent of Moroccans are saving, compared to 68 per cent who are not able to save money.
