Following the port embargo on its fishing vessels, Russia has opted to repair its fishing boats in the metropolis port rather than Las Palmas.
The head of the representative office of the administrative body for Fisheries in Morocco Mikhail Tarasov announced that Russia’s administrative body for piscary is aiming to open a replacement workplace in Casablanca next year.
“In reference to the upcoming gap of a replacement work within the port of Casablanca, repairs for a bunch of Russian fishing vessels operating in the Central East Atlantic will be dole out at Moroccan facilities,” he explained.
“We are talking regarding many numerous euros, which is able to be paid to native workplaces, still as hundreds of jobs for Moroccans,” the Russian official added. “We hope to open a brand new shipyard in 2023.”
