Mohamed Ouahbi, the coach of the national under-20 team, regretted that the “cubs” did not qualify for the African Youth Cup, after their disappointing loss to the Libyan team, with a rating of 0-1, yesterday, Monday.
Ouahbi made a statement on the official website of the Royal Moroccan Football Association, saying: “We were completely in control throughout the course of the interview, but we missed the final touch.”
The spokesman continued, “The national team was good in the first half and created many chances, but the offensive efficiency we lacked. I’m not specifically mentioning the attackers, but the players as a whole.”
Ouahbi added, “I am sighed and sad because the conditions were favourable to qualifying, and we could have scored a positive result, but the rush overcame the players who wanted to score early.”
