after the meeting of the interior ministers of the European Union, Marlaska added, in a press statements from Luxembourg, that “the relations between Morocco and Spain are based on mutual trust, which is supported by the joint declaration issued on April 7, which put the foundations for the exceptional partnership in the coming years.”

The Spanish official’s statements came after the message sent by Morocco to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in which Morocco clarifies that Melilla is still an occupied city, and it is not possible to talk about borders, but rather crossing points, and this message was transmitted by the Spanish newspaper “Espanol”.

In the same matter, the Moroccan and Spanish parties are expected to hold a summit at the end of November in Morocco, in order to embody the strategic partnership that has recently brought the two countries together and empower them.
