Bahrain sided with the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its control over the Sahara, during an intervention by its representative before the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Kingdom of Bahrain affirmed its solidarity and its stable position with the Kingdom of Morocco in preserving its security and territorial integrity, referring to Security Council Resolution No. 2602 of 2021 of the Moroccan Sahara.
The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated in a speech to its delegate, its support for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco to find a political solution to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, on the basis of the Moroccan initiative for autonomy and relevant Security Council, in addition to the political process in implementation of Security Council resolutions.
On the other hand, the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the first countries that personify its position in support of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco when it opened its general consulate in El-Ayoun on December 14, 2020.
